A third generation Pokémon whose first evolution, Ralts, is native to grasses near the beginning of your adventure in Hoenn, Gardevoir is the final evolution of its particular Pokémon family. One of the light green leaves, on the back of its head, is about as long as her body. Two light green leaves loosely hang down from her head. Her head and abdomen are white and her eyes are a light shade of red. She has dark green, linear leaves for arms, and a golden sepal under her neck. She wears a large, light green, tulip shaped collection of leaves, resembling a dress. There are two long, dark green, linear leaves coming from her back to around the bottom of her "dress". She also possesses another golden, sepal-shaped extension underneath her "dress", resembling feet. Lilligant is a female-only species with no male counterpart. Lilligant is a rare Pokémon that lives in the forests of Unova, especially in the Pinwheel Forest. Though Lilligant's flower is similar in appearance to the rafflesia, its relaxing smell makes it more likely to be based on either an orange, pomelo, mandarin orange, or carnation's flowers, all of which are used in essential oils for aromatherapy. Because of this, the leaves of its body may also have been based on other essential oil ingredients, such as spearmint and/or peppermint.

Milotic's appearance is similar to that of a sea serpent, and it is likely based on an Oarfish. Milotic’s sinuous body is mostly cream in coloration, with red eyes and three black dots down its neck. The top of its head is long, with a point at the end, and long, thin red ‘eyebrows’ extending from above its eyes and thicker, also red-colored hair-like fins draping from the sides of the head. Its lower tail is covered with blue and pink scales, with striations of black, and four large scales, blue with red spots in the middle, overlap at the tip of the tail to look like a fan. Juan used it against Ash for the Gym Battle in the following episode, being his strongest and last Pokémon. Battle Pike Queen Lucy used a Milotic to battle against Ash's Donphan and Pikachu in Queen of the Serpentine. Lucy's Milotic defeated the former of the two and lost to the latter. Dragonair are long, serpentine Pokémon that can be up to 13 feet long. They have dark, glossy eyes and a small, unicorn-like horn on their foreheads. On either side of their heads are small feathery wings. Dragonair are covered in sapphire-blue scales, except for their bellies, which are a bright white. A feature unique to Dragonair are the small blue orbs that appear under their necks and on the ends of their tails. They somewhat resemble larger versions of their pre-evolutionary forms. Lopunny are bipedal Pokémon that are based on real-life rabbits. They stand at approximately three to four feet tall, with a dark brown pelt, long, warm ears and round tails. They also have a fluffy, cream pelt that is found on the ends of their ears, legs and arms, as well as distinctive large 'eyebrows'. Lopunny have black pupils with red irises, with small pink noses and inner ears. Despite Lopunny's feminine appearance, they have a 1:1 gender ratio. Lopunny have been found with the abilities Cute Charm, Klutz and its Hidden Ability, Limber. Cute Charm infatuates foes on contact if they are of the opposite gender to Lopunny. These Pokémon are normally very cautious and timid. It cloaks its body with its fluffy ear fur when it senses danger, and, being very conscious of its looks, never fails to groom its ears. Togekiss is known as the Jubilee Pokémon. Wild Togekiss tend to visit and reside in areas where people and Pokémon are living in peace and harmony. They bring blessings and gifts of kindness to those regions, while staying away from areas full of conflict and strife.
In the anime, a Togekiss was raised by Princess Salvia, Dawn’s royal doppelgänger, to be proper and elegant. Upon competing in the Arrowroot Contest with Salvia, Togekiss realized its love for contests. Seeing this, Salvia entrusted Togekiss to Dawn and allowed it to travel with her and eventually compete in the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Togekiss made its currently last appearance on the show when it helped Dawn to locate her Piplup, who had run away crying when it realized that Ash, Brock, and Pikachu would be leaving them to return to Kanto. Togekiss landed in front of Piplup and comforted him in its wings.

Just take all of the reasons that Togepi made our list yesterday, multiply them by two evolutions, add in the ability to fly, and anyone can see why Togekiss deserves to be on this list. Not only that, but Togekiss is a Poke-Santa of sorts, bringing gifts of kindness and sweet blessing to areas of peace. I’m not kidding. “Don’t fight with you sister! Otherwise Togekiss won’t come down and snuggle you to sleep tonight!” is a common phrase in households across the land. Did you think that “kiss” in the name was just a coincidence? Well think again, it’s a potential reward to all the do-gooders out there letting their friends Magikarp slowly splash their Geodude to death for the sake of getting that little tyke some experience (I’m aware splash doesn’t do any damage, but for the sake of the comparison, bare with me). If this cake wasn’t quite tasty enough for you, Togekiss isn’t all fluff and friendship. He also come equiped with a dangerous duo of astronomical special attack and special defense. That is called icing, people. Delicious, fluffy, beat-you-down-if-you-aren’t-careful, icing.
8. Chansey
The Egg Pokémon, Chansey, is rare and is said to bring happiness to anyone who catches one. Chansey lay “nutritionally excellent” eggs several times a day, which happen to be so delicious that anyone will quickly devour one, regardless of their appetite. In the anime series, Chansey are often seen assisting in hospitals, serving as assistants to the lovely Nurse Joy. In the games, Chansey started out as having no evolved form. Since then, it has been discovered to evolve into Blissey when its happiness is at its greatest, and the new Diamond & Pearl games reveal Chansey’s baby pre-evolution, Happiny.

Chansey was an oddball Pokémon in the original lot of 150, and still stands out today. Maybe it’s the hardiness that comes with consistently happy mood, but Chansey had by far the highest max HP in the original games. Of course, to “balance” things out, all of Chansey’s other stats were crap, so she best served to take the worst of the damage and force opponents to use up their attack PP in battle, before being switched out to allow a teammate to finish off the opposing Pokémon.
9. Espeon
We weren’t going to finish this list without at least one form of Eevee. There’s six forms (Eevee and five evolutions), so there were pretty good chances one would make our list. Espeon is the psychic evolution of Eevee, evident in its many special abilities. Espeon’s sensitive hair and nerves help it to predict changes in the environment, such as an opponent Pokémon’s next move or a change in weather conditions. In addition, its precognitive abilities allow Espeon to sense dangerous threats to itself or its trainer, and it will act accordingly to protect itself and/or defend its trainer.
Espeon is obtained by raising an Eevee’s happiness to its maximum and then evolving Eevee during the daytime hours. This was easily done in Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal due to the day and night feature. In Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, the lack of a day/night feature forced players to watch clocks to make sure they were evolving Eevee at the correct times to obtain an Espeon. Otherwise, Eevee would evolve into Umbreon. In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the day and night mechanism will be returning, allowing trainers the ease of simply evolving a happy Eevee when the screen is bright.

It’s hard not to like at least one Eevee evolution. There are five existing ones, with two more on the way starting Sunday. Pretty soon there will be an Eevee evolution for every possible favorite type. That said, Christian has a very strong affinity for psychic Pokémon, one of which Espeon happens to be. Espeon’s short hair also gives it a much sleeker look compared to Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Leafeon, and Glaceon, and slightly more so than when compared to Umbreon.
While Espeon doesn’t hold up too well against Pokémon with more physical attacks, it can hold its own against special attacks and can dish out even more in terms of its own special attacks. Of all the Eevee evolutions, including the two upcoming ones, Espeon has by far the highest special attack base stat. This comes in handy once Espeon learns Psychic and/or Dream Eater (tutor), as these moves will help to end battles more quickly, reducing the need for Espeon to depend on its weak defenses.

Aside from being completely kick ass (in a fun, taunting way) in the Super Smash Bros. games, the “Balloon Pokémon” very generously gives free concerts to all those around. Unfortunately, it’s the kind of music that makes everyone want to fall asleep. Jigglypuff are able to manipulate their vocal chords to sing at a frequency that resonates with the natural frequency of deep sleep brain waves. Jigglypuff will continue to sing until it realizes that everyone around has fallen asleep to its song. Angered at the apparent disrespect, Jigglypuff may occasionally turn its microphone into a black marker and draw all over the faces of those who fell asleep. In battle, Jigglypuff’s ability to put foes to sleep allows a trainer to take advantage and continue attacking the opponent without the risk of being attacked in retaliation.

Staring into the huge, saucer-shaped eyes of Jigglypuff is like drifting asleep in a field of poppies. Though she is lovable, her hypnotic trance and soothing song can put even the strongest of Pokemon in a deep slumber, rendering them helpless.
